Opening in 1963 as Ganus', Lee's has had three trade names, Ganus', Rush's Too, and Lee's Drive-in. The menu basically remained the same until 1996 when Sam Tallo completely renovated the building to its present look, bringing back the diner appearance of the 50's.
In 2007, Sam Tallo and Russell Tallo, Sr., partnered to bring Lee's to another level for this Hammond landmark diner. Rusell and son Russell, Jr. expanded the menu, increasing the breakfast items, a variety of plate lunches, pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads and fountain items, and added a rib-eye steak to the menu. With this transition Lee's has made the move to a diner, selling everything from shakes to steaks!
Thank you for making Lee's Diner your place to go.
